About The Position

Sea Fox Boat Company, an industry-leading saltwater fishing boat manufacturer, is hiring a Refinisher/Patcher in its Finishing department. Finishers help prepare boats for final delivery to dealers by smoothing fiberglass or gel coat imperfections and ensuring a high standard of finish. This is a full-time position with a Monday–Friday workload. The role involves using power tools, hand tools, buffers, and sandpaper, as well as understanding machinery and chemicals used in the work. The employee must be comfortable working in a covered warehouse that can experience extreme cold and heat, and being on their feet throughout the day. The work includes constant lifting and bending.

Requirements

Previous patching or sanding experience in boat manufacturing or automotive work.
High school diploma or GED.
Must pass the Patch/Refinish test.
Ability to use power tools and hand tools.
Ability to perform constant lifting and bending and remain on one's feet throughout the workday.
Comfort working in a covered warehouse environment with extreme cold and heat.
Ability to work confidently without direct supervision.
Must be honest, dependable, and forthright.

Responsibilities

Use power tools, hand tools, buffers, and sandpaper to smooth fiberglass or gel coat imperfections.
Inspect work carefully and help ensure the highest standards of finish.
Understand the machinery and chemicals used in the work.
Read and use information in MSDS sheets and books when necessary.
Comply with company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies, and energy.
Maintain a positive attitude and help wherever needed.
Work with diverse populations in a supportive and positive manner.
