About The Position

The Refinish Technician provides an exceptional customer experience by meticulously refinishing vehicles and restoring them to pre-accident condition. The role involves mixing paint, matching colors, and completing refinish operations in accordance with work orders. The technician works with team members to meet repair facility KPIs and deadlines and represents Gerber Collision & Glass as a brand ambassador. Gerber provides Refinish Technicians with PAPR systems to support a safe and comfortable work environment.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of collision repair experience.
• Ability to properly complete all steps in the refinishing process.
• Above-average focus on quality.
• High production capabilities.

Nice To Haves

• I-CAR or ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Review body work for quality and completeness as it arrives in the paint department.
• Mix paint, match colors, and refinish vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition.
• Complete refinish operations as described in the work order.
• Use and maintain paint material inventory efficiently.
• Consistently use required safety equipment and properly dispose of hazardous waste.
• Attend and collaborate with the team during daily production meetings.
• Work with the production schedule and coworkers to meet deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
