About The Position

This role is responsible for managing patient referrals, ensuring appointments are kept, and maintaining accurate records within the EMR system. The Referral Specialist will work closely with specialty offices and report to the Referral Supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 3 years of medical experience

Responsibilities

• Make referrals and follow up on them
• Run reports to check for open referrals
• Make referrals to specialty offices, including faxing patient information
• Ensure patients keep their referral appointments
• Maintain work lists in EMR in a timely manner
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
