About The Position

ProgressiveHealth of Indiana, LLC is seeking a Referral Liaison for their outpatient, orthopedic-based clinic in Washington, IN. This full-time, in-office position involves identifying and contacting new patient referrals, scheduling initial appointments, and expanding knowledge within the healthcare industry. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
At least 1 year of related experience or training is preferred
Previous experience in a customer service or clerical role
High degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
Strong detail orientation with the ability to adapt to change
Strong follow-up and follow-through skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Responsibilities

Processing and distributing incoming appointment referrals
Coordinating with patient to schedule initial appointment within 48 hours of receiving referral
Documenting all contact attempts and any lost referrals
Follow protocol to make the minimum number of contact attempts for referrals not yet scheduled
Schedule walk-up evaluations referred directly by neighboring physicians
Entering scheduled appointments in patient electronic medical records (EMR) and attaching the referral for the Patient Experience Specialist to review
Answering telephone and returning voicemails in a timely and professional manner
Other duties and special projects as assigned
