About The Position

ProgressiveHealth of Indiana, LLC is seeking a Referral Liaison to join their team in Washington, IN. This role is responsible for identifying and contacting new patient referrals and scheduling initial appointments for their outpatient, orthopedic-based clinic. This is a full-time, in-office position with a weekday, day-shift schedule. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Previous experience in a customer service or clerical role
Display a high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
Demonstrate strong detail orientation with the ability to adapt to change
Demonstrate strong follow-up and follow-through skills
Able to maintain confidentiality
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of related experience or training is preferred

Responsibilities

Processing and distributing incoming appointment referrals
Coordinating with patient to schedule initial appointment within 48 hours of receiving referral
Documenting all contact attempts and any lost referrals
Following protocol to make the minimum number of contact attempts for referrals not yet scheduled
Scheduling walk-up evaluations referred directly by neighboring physicians
Entering scheduled appointments in patient electronic medical records (EMR) and attaching the referral for the Patient Experience Specialist to review
Answering telephone and returning voicemails in a timely and professional manner
Other duties and special projects as assigned
