About The Position
Baptist Health is currently hiring a Full-Time Days Referrals Coordinator to join our Total Access Program Department at our Baptist Southbank Plaza location in Jacksonville, FL. The Patient Access Services team interacts with staff, patients, internal departments, physician practices, and insurance companies to obtain maximum reimbursement through established authorization for advanced imaging procedures and order entry. The referral coordinator is responsible for insurance eligibility and obtaining advanced imaging authorizations for BPC, BPE, Baptist Specialty Offices, and Imaging. The role requires meeting performance expectations, including authorization productivity of 3 accounts/hour. Essential skills include multi-tasking, being highly organized, detail-oriented, and the ability to prioritize workload and teamwork distribution in a call center environment.

Responsibilities
- Providing referral assistance to physicians, patients, and insurance companies.
- Scheduling appointments, obtain authorizations, and collect patient responsibilities at the time of scheduling.
- Accurately completing verification of insurance benefits and authorizations using online tools and/or direct contact with insurance carrier.
