About The Position

Sentara Foot & Ankle Specialists Belleharbour is seeking to hire a Full-Time Referral Coordinator in Suffolk, VA. This role provides a direct link between patients, primary care providers, specialty providers, and insurance companies. The Referral Coordinator will coordinate the referral process from primary care providers as well as pre-authorization approvals for drugs and other services as ordered by the provider.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Health Insurance Plans 1 year experience required
• Medical terminology preferred
• One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred
• Knowledge of EPIC preferred
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer
• Strong Organizational Skills
• Proficient in use of computers
