About The Position

The Referral Coordinator/HIMS schedules and pre-registers patients for exams and procedures with specialists and providers outside the primary care physician's office. The role performs varied, moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer-support assignments, including computations, and typically works on semi-routine assignments. The coordinator gathers and communicates relevant information and preparation instructions to patients and referring providers. The role operates within defined policies and quality standards, with some discretion in interpreting procedures and prioritizing or timing assignments. This is a patient-facing position at the Care Center located at 1332 S Plano Rd, Suite 550, Richardson, TX 75081. The role participates in the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program, and selected candidates must be screened for TB.

Requirements

Two years of hands-on healthcare experience in a clinical setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Proficiency with medical terminology.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
Must complete TB screening if selected, as the role is patient-facing and part of the company's TB screening program.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
Bilingual English/Spanish.
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Referral experience.
