About The Position

The Referral Coordinator for Digestive Health Services (DHS) will report directly to the Office Manager to perform referral and follow-up tracking and scheduling in the medical office setting to ensure efficient operations and patient satisfaction; works closely with Office Manager to trouble-shoot and resolve problems and maintains positive relationships with patients, family members, visitors, and fellow employees. PIH Health is a nonprofit, regional healthcare network that serves approximately 3 million residents in the Los Angeles County, Orange County and San Gabriel Valley region. Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to complete complex clerical and other assigned tasks in an independent manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple work assignments.
  • Good organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and experienced in the use of other office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, etc.
  • Must be a self starter and have a strong ability to work well without a great deal of supervision.
  • Must have the ability to take a project from its inception and develop it through fruition.
