About The Position
Sentara Medical Group Comprehensive Weight Loss Kempsville Office is seeking to hire a Full-Time Referral Coordinator. This role provides a direct link between patients, primary care providers, specialty providers, and insurance companies. The Referral Coordinator will manage the referral process from primary care providers and handle pre-authorization approvals for drugs and other services as ordered by the provider.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year of experience with Health Insurance Plans
- Medical terminology preferred
- One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred
- Knowledge of EPIC preferred
- Proficient in use of computers
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payers.
