About The Position

UDR, Inc. is seeking a Redevelopment Construction Analyst to join their team at their corporate office in Highlands Ranch. This role supports the Redevelopment team in researching, managing, and executing redevelopment opportunities for existing or newly acquired assets. The analyst will report to the Director or Senior Director - Redevelopment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, construction management, or business major in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Demonstrated analytics experience through educational or work experience.
  • Must possess basic understanding of architectural design and construction.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze property financial statements and rent rolls, assist with comp selection and submarket rent analysis.
  • Conduct research and interpret market information impacting project value.
  • Create and improve financial models for analysis.
  • Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly department reports, including pipeline/deal tracking reports.
  • Assist project managers in preparing and managing project budgets and schedules.
  • Maintain project trackers for Marketing and Operations departments.
  • Maintain renovation forecasts/reforecasts in consultation with supervisor, department head, and Operations.
  • Maintain and provide updated spend curve estimates for ongoing projects.
  • Assist in establishing performance tracking models for ongoing redevelopments.
  • Prepare financial modeling for redevelopment opportunities for new or existing assets.
  • Maintain communication with project managers and assistant project managers to understand project status and flag potential impacts to schedule and budget.
  • Assist with bid evaluations and contractor selection.
  • Assist with underwriting special projects, including ESG initiatives and EV charging installations.
  • Support special projects managers with budgeting, scheduling, and general project management.
  • Perform analysis of past CapEx and ROI projects to accurately underwrite and benchmark redevelopment projects.
  • Assist project managers with on-site responsibilities if necessary, including project coordination, project management, meetings, and project close-out.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
