About The Position

Foundation helps B2B technology and SaaS brands get found, cited, and recommended when buyers ask AI for solutions. The company does this through Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), including research, content, distribution, and optimization across LLMs, search, Reddit, YouTube, and related sources. The Reddit & Communities Lead owns how Foundation delivers Reddit and community services, the quality of that work, and its growth. The role oversees organic Reddit and communities such as Quora, forums, and Discord, with responsibility for delivery methods, standard operating procedures, community rules, tooling, quality assurance, and the balance of in-house and freelance work. The lead adapts practices as platforms change and helps ensure work complies with platform rules. Paid Reddit is owned by the Head of Paid Media; this role collaborates with that leader so paid and organic efforts support each other. The role sets quality standards, supports quality assurance, identifies and addresses skills gaps, contributes to performance reviews, and conducts technical interviews for Reddit and community hires. It trains specialists to build client authority and own their deliverables. Specialists not yet placed in a pod report directly to this role, while the resource manager assigns them across pods. The lead partners with AEO Marketing Directors to expand community work with existing clients and support pitches. The role develops a memorable client-facing narrative about how Reddit threads can influence AI answers, identifies and develops new offerings such as Reddit Answers and branded communities, leads client working sessions, and joins pitches where community expertise can help win business. This is a full-time, fully remote position targeting candidates in Canada or the United States. The schedule is Monday to Friday, approximately 40 hours per week. Compensation is a base salary of $88,000–$110,000 depending on experience and location, plus target variable compensation of 15% of base tied to KPIs. US salary ranges may be adjusted based on state labor costs. Benefits are provided in addition to base salary.

Requirements

At least 6 years of experience in community marketing, with deep Reddit experience.
Knowledge of subreddit dynamics, moderators, and Reddit rules, and a record of building brand presence without bans or public callouts.
Experience running community work at volume with a team or bench of specialists while maintaining quality.
A clear understanding of how community activity appears in AI answers, with results that can be explained.
Experience building and using AI agents, tools, or workflows in real work, such as monitoring, research, or reporting, and ability to demonstrate how they were built.
Experience teaching others and raising the bar for people who do not report to you.

Responsibilities

Own the delivery, methods, SOPs, community rules, tooling, quality, and in-house/freelance staffing mix for Reddit and community work.
Adapt working practices when platforms change, while ensuring work follows platform rules.
Set quality standards; support QA; identify and close skills gaps; provide input on reviews; and conduct technical interviews for Reddit and community hires.
Train specialists to build client authority and take ownership of deliverables; directly manage specialists who are not yet placed in a pod.
Work with the resource manager, who staffs specialists across pods.
Partner with AEO Marketing Directors to grow community work with existing clients and support pitches.
Develop and communicate a client-facing narrative about how Reddit threads can influence AI assistant answers about brands.
Identify and develop new sellable and deliverable community offerings, including Reddit Answers and branded communities.
Lead client working sessions and join pitches where community expertise can help win business.
Collaborate with the Head of Paid Media so paid and organic Reddit efforts support each other.
