The Recruitment Specialist (Seasonal) serves as a Girl Scout membership resource and supports council-wide membership goals by implementing recruitment strategies and engaging families in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. This role focuses on community outreach, event facilitation, and relationship-building with youth, caregivers, and volunteers, with a strong emphasis on equity, inclusion, and access. This seasonal role includes variable hours throughout the recruitment cycle: May 30 is a required training day; June, July, and August involve approximately 10-15 hours per month, primarily for community tabling and outreach events; September includes youth-focused training plus continued 10-15 hours per month. Additional commitments may include late-August open house events (evenings), September sign-up events, and one short-term “Starter Troop” assignment (4 weeks in October, weekday evenings). The position requires schedule flexibility, including evening meetings, weekend events, and adjusting between in-person and virtual work depending on program and community needs. Regular local travel across the council service area is required, primarily daytime but may occasionally include long-distance or nighttime driving.
