About The Position

Our client, a leading university in Boston, is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to support the full-cycle recruitment process for a variety of positions across the institution. The Recruitment Specialist will work closely with hiring managers and HR liaisons to attract and hire qualified talent while ensuring a consistent, compliant, and positive recruitment experience. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment. This role will oversee the recruitment process from job posting and candidate screening through offer negotiation and pre-employment clearance.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of professional-level experience in recruiting and/or talent sourcing; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); familiarity with SAP is strongly preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and polished communication style.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of HR processes, recruitment practices, and employment compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with project management, recruitment operations, or process implementation is desirable.
  • Experience supporting high-volume recruitment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer extension.
  • Partner with hiring managers, department leaders, and HR liaisons to understand staffing needs and effectively manage recruitment activities.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience through clear communication, timely follow-up, and transparency throughout the hiring process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and requisition information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Track recruitment activity and provide updates on candidate progress, requisition status, and hiring timelines.
  • Coordinate with internal Operations and HR teams to initiate and monitor pre-employment requirements and clearances.
  • Communicate updates, delays, and clearance status to appropriate stakeholders throughout the hiring process.
  • Ensure recruitment activities are conducted consistently and in compliance with applicable HR policies and employment laws.
  • Support high-volume recruitment activities and manage multiple open positions simultaneously.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers, HR partners, candidates, and internal stakeholders.
