About The Position

Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU) is seeking a relationship-driven Recruitment Specialist for its College of Nursing. The role supports CDU’s mission to advance health equity, increase healthcare access, and prepare future healthcare leaders by attracting and enrolling students in nursing programs. The Recruitment Specialist serves as an ambassador for CDU, builds relationships with prospective students and partner organizations, and guides candidates through the admissions process. The position is based in Los Angeles, California, and is full-time.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.
Valid California Driver's License and proof of insurance.

Nice To Haves

Experience in higher education admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, healthcare outreach, marketing, or sales.
Experience using CRM systems such as Slate.
Knowledge of nursing education or healthcare professions.
Bilingual or multilingual skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary ambassador for CDU and its nursing programs.
Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, community colleges, universities, healthcare organizations, and community partners.
Plan and attend recruitment events, college fairs, information sessions, and community outreach activities.
Conduct presentations virtually and in person.
Develop and execute territory recruitment plans to meet enrollment goals.
Guide prospective students through the admissions process.
Track recruitment activity and pipeline development using CRM systems.
Collaborate with faculty, admissions, marketing, and university leadership to increase awareness of CDU nursing programs.
Identify innovative opportunities to attract and enroll diverse student populations.
