About The Position

This position is responsible for recruiting new students to the University by participating in recruitment activities, including visits to Colorado and select out-of-state high schools, as well as phone, email, text, and written outreach. The role involves attending recruitment events both on and off-campus, creating and maintaining positive working relationships with high school counselors, community college staff, students, families, and other organizations within assigned territories to facilitate new student recruitment. Additionally, the position assists with the first-year student registration process, including moving students from admitted to deposited to enrolled by building schedules, and provides counseling on the admissions and enrollment process to prospective students and their parents. The role also oversees purchasing, inventory, and distribution of recruitment promotional materials, and coordinates counselor materials and activities for recruitment events. Ancillary duties include serving on various division and university committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to lift and carry materials needed for recruiting purposes
  • Experience working with varying populations
  • Experience in a customer service function
  • Experience managing schedules and participating in professional events

Responsibilities

  • Supervises staff, including undertaking travel and territory planning for recruitment goals.
  • Conducts regular check-ins with staff to review activity, outcomes, interactions, strategy, and progress.
  • Ensures administration of Direct Admission program processes and goals at the recruitment level.
  • Trains new recruitment staff on all aspects of the position, including strategy, admission cycle, recruitment travel, vehicle use, and policies.
  • Ensures Admissions Counselor Academy student workers are best utilized.
  • Recruits new students through high school visits, phone, email, text, and written outreach.
  • Attends recruitment events on and off-campus.
