We are hiring a Senior Consultant to join our U.S. In-House Legal and Compliance Practice in New York. This role offers exposure to both executive search and full 360 recruitment, working across retained senior mandates, strategic hires and broader mid-level specialist recruitment. You will support leading clients within investment management and financial services, while developing your own market presence within a high-growth desk.

Requirements

  • Recruitment / search experience preferred
  • Commercial mindset with strong relationship skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Curious about financial services, private equity, hedge funds, fintech and investment management markets
  • Motivated to become a genuine specialist in in-house legal and compliance hiring
  • High level of professionalism, communication skills and attention to detail
  • Driven, resilient and proactive in managing a fast-paced workload
  • Collaborative and comfortable working as part of an ambitious, high-performing team

Responsibilities

  • Managing live search and recruitment mandates from briefing through completion
  • Delivering retained executive search assignments for senior legal and compliance hires
  • Building candidate pipelines and developing market maps across target sectors
  • Networking with legal and compliance professionals across the market
  • Supporting business development and growing client relationships
  • Advising clients on talent trends, compensation and competitor activity
  • Working on leadership appointments as well as broader team buildouts
  • Building long-term partnerships with candidates and clients
  • Developing your own desk and specialist market presence over time
