About The Position

Serves as the recruitment and retention coach for the School of Nursing and Radiologic Technology. Also serves on the KDSON Recruitment and Retention Committee. Primary responsibility is to oversee promotional and marketing of programs and recruiting and retention efforts for Kitty DeGree School of Nursing and Radiologic Technology. Provide administrative support to the Program Directors in the School of Nursing and Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

Track, analyze, and organize data related to student recruitment, engagement, progression, persistence, and retention within the Nursing and Radiologic Technology programs to identify trends, barriers, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement proactive student retention initiatives in collaboration with Nursing and Radiologic Technology faculty, program leadership, advising, and student support services.
Monitor student progression and identify students who may be at risk for attrition based on academic performance, course progression, attendance, engagement, or other established indicators; assist with appropriate outreach and referral to campus resources.
Maintain regular communication with current students to promote engagement, connection to the program, and awareness of academic, professional, and student support resources.
Assist in developing and coordinating student engagement activities designed to strengthen students’ sense of belonging, connection to their programs, and commitment to degree completion.
Assist Nursing and Radiologic Technology programs in developing and implementing strategies to improve semester-to-semester persistence, progression, and program completion.
Collect and maintain retention-related data and prepare reports for program leadership to support data-informed retention planning and continuous improvement.
Track student participation in retention initiatives and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and activities designed to improve student persistence and completion.
Create cohesive recruitment and retention marketing efforts in collaboration with Nursing and Radiologic Technology.
Collaborate with recruiting, advising, student success, retention entities, and other campus partners to coordinate recruitment, student engagement, and retention outreach across campus.
Work with the Office of Marketing and Communications to ensure recruitment and retention efforts follow official university marketing standards and messaging.
Participate in university-wide recruitment, student engagement, and outreach events.
Assist with outreach to prospective and current students through appropriate communication channels to provide timely information, encourage engagement, and facilitate connection to university and program resources.
Assist with maintaining organized and secure records related to prospective and current students in accordance with university policies and applicable privacy requirements.
Assists in maintaining and tracking departmental inventory related to recruitment, student engagement, and retention activities.
Assists in ordering supplies, equipment, promotional materials, and other resources related to recruitment, student engagement, and retention activities.
Exhibits appropriate and consistent written and oral communication skills when interacting with faculty, students, staff, prospective students, university partners, and/or clients within the assigned area.
Creates and maintains prospective student and current student files and records in accordance with established university policies and procedures.
Assists with the development of reports, tracking systems, dashboards, and other tools used to monitor recruitment, enrollment, student progression, persistence, and retention outcomes.
Attend and complete yearly and/or quarterly training for safety, ethics, Title IX, FERPA, and other mandatory university training requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
