This is a unique recruiting management role focused on building a recruiting organization capable of hiring hundreds of extraordinary people while maintaining an uncompromising hiring bar. The role involves leading recruiting for various teams such as Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, People, Workplace, Communications, and Customer Success. The responsibilities extend beyond filling positions to partnering directly with executives and senior leaders, influencing organizational design, coaching recruiters on complex searches, and continuously improving talent identification, assessment, and closing processes. The role also includes building scalable recruiting systems, evolving the operating model, developing recruiting leaders, improving execution, and ensuring world-class partnership with hiring managers. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in ambiguity, act with urgency, elevate the performance of those around them, and enjoy solving difficult talent problems.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience leading recruiting teams within a high-growth technology company.
  • 7+ years of experience hiring across a broad range of business functions, including SG&A, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Operations, or similar organizations.
  • Track record of building and scaling recruiting teams during periods of hypergrowth.
  • Experience partnering directly with executive leadership on strategic hiring initiatives.
  • Strong operational mindset with experience using recruiting metrics to improve execution.
  • Experience developing recruiters into high-performing talent advisors.
  • Ability to balance speed with exceptional hiring quality.
  • Experience with Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, GEM, Goodtime, Google Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution for Non-Technical Recruiting across SG&A or Operations.
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of recruiters while leading from the front.
  • Partner with executives and functional leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, and hiring strategy.
  • Personally engage on the company's highest-impact and most complex leadership searches.
  • Establish rigorous recruiting operating mechanisms, metrics, and inspection processes that improve hiring quality, speed, and predictability.
  • Raise hiring standards through structured interviewing, calibrated assessments, and exceptional talent evaluation.
  • Drive recruiter performance through coaching, data, accountability, and continuous development.
  • Build strong partnerships with Compensation, Finance, HR, Legal, and executive leadership to remove hiring bottlenecks.
  • Constantly improve recruiting processes using first-principles thinking rather than accepting existing ways of working.
  • Help scale Zipline's recruiting organization during one of the fastest growth periods in company history.
