About The Position

Southern National Roofing is seeking an experienced, hands-on Recruiting Manager to lead and enhance our recruiting operations. This role requires a blend of leadership and individual contribution, focusing on building and improving the hiring infrastructure to support the company's significant growth. The ideal candidate will be a player-coach, capable of developing recruiters, performing recruitment tasks when necessary, understanding the business from within, and driving improvements in hiring processes and outcomes. The company is experiencing approximately 40% year-over-year growth, and this position is expected to evolve and expand alongside the company.

Requirements

  • Experience leading, coaching, or developing recruiters.
  • Comfort being both a manager and an individual contributor.
  • Experience with high-volume recruiting and management-level searches.
  • Good judgment: knows when to act independently and when a quick leadership conversation is appropriate.
  • A builder who wants to improve processes, develop people, and grow with the company.
  • Must be willing to work on-site in Charlotte, NC.

Nice To Haves

  • Someone who still enjoys recruiting and interviewing candidates.
  • Experience recruiting commissioned sales professionals strongly preferred.
  • Home services, roofing, remodeling, solar, HVAC, pest control, or similar experience is a plus.
  • HR generalist or HR operations experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the recruiting team.
  • Personally source, recruit, screen, and interview candidates when needed.
  • Improve sourcing strategies, job postings, screening, interviewing, and candidate selection.
  • Build recruiting metrics, reporting, goals, and accountability.
  • Improve quality of hire and employee retention.
  • Source and recommend Sales Managers, Canvassing Managers, and selected senior leaders.
  • Develop future Recruiting Team Leads and Managers.
  • Partner closely with department and senior leadership before implementing material changes.
  • Spend time throughout the business learning how teams operate, including participating in ride-alongs and understanding job processes firsthand.
  • Improve Sales Consultant recruiting to increase team size by 10-15 people while improving retention.
  • Develop and improve hiring packets, interview guides, candidate scorecards, job descriptions, onboarding processes, recruiting and hiring SOPs, hiring manager guidelines, and the employee handbook.

Benefits

  • Starting base salary: $70,000-$75,000.
  • $5,000 annual base salary increase after 90 days based on successful completion of initial objectives.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity.
  • Total compensation opportunity: approximately $100,000-$120,000.
