About The Position

Support the recruiting team by learning and assisting with the day-to-day activities of the recruitment and staffing process, gaining hands-on experience in sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified talent for the organization. This would be a full-time internship, from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

Requirements

  • Must be Bilingual in Spanish & English.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and sign a confidentiality agreement.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Basic computer, data entry, and administrative skills.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources or recruiting.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, Open Office & Power Point.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations when they arise and make sound judgment.
  • Exceptional attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship, volunteer, or coursework experience related to HR or recruiting is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with and learns all phases of the recruitment process under the guidance of the Recruiter and HR Director.
  • Collaborates with managers and the HR team to learn how job descriptions and hiring criteria are developed and documented.
  • Assists with posting jobs online and supports advertisement processes.
  • Assists with screening applications and helps identify qualified candidates for the hiring team's review.
  • Assists with scheduling interviews and helps prepare interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Observes and assists with the interview process, sitting in on interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders as scheduling allows.
  • Conducts initial candidate interviews under the guidance of the Recruiter.
  • Shadows the Recruiter and assists with onboarding tasks, including form completion, orientation support, and other required documentation.
  • Learns and helps ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Provides general administrative support to the HR team as needed.
  • Performs other HR tasks as assigned.
