About The Position

This role is responsible for the full cycle of recruitment for manufacturing candidates, including sourcing, screening, hiring, and onboarding. The Recruiting Generalist will develop job postings, manage career boards, and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve recruitment goals. The position also involves conducting new employee orientations, holding checkpoint meetings with new hires, attending job fairs, and providing HR support to employees. Additionally, the role may assist with other department projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing experience is essential.
  • Two or more years’ experience in comparable role sourcing, screening, hiring and onboarding candidates.
  • General working knowledge of HR principles related to employee benefits, payroll and related matters to explain benefits during onboarding and answer employee questions required.
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills required.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with ability communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Must exude professionalism and represent the company in an exemplary manner.
  • Successful candidates need to be highly motivated and results-driven, able to meet deadlines, with high level of personal accountability and ownership of work.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills required.
  • Must be able to multi-task, pivot and adapt to changing priorities daily.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in work required.
  • Must have excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft 365 and recruiting/onboarding software/platforms.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Must be able to work occasional additional hours, including before or after normal business hours, to connect with candidates.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience sourcing machinists, inspectors, and support staff preferred.
  • Experience conducting orientations preferred.
  • Training or certifications in Human Resources principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Sources, screens, hires and onboards manufacturing candidates.
  • Develops job postings and manages career boards.
  • Collaborates with managers, supervisors, external business partners and others to achieve goals.
  • Conducts new employee orientations.
  • Completes regular checkpoint meetings with new hires.
  • Attends job fairs and other trade organization events for purpose of sourcing candidates and promoting the company.
  • Provides assistance to employees in walk-in HR department.
  • Supports other department project work as needed.
