About The Position

Sydecar is on a mission to transform the world of private markets by making them more accessible, transparent, and liquid through revolutionizing investment vehicle creation and execution. The company acts as a trusted partner in venture capital, simplifying and standardizing the private investing experience. Sydecar handles administrative tasks such as automating banking, ensuring compliance, managing contracts, handling taxes, and streamlining reporting, allowing investors to focus on deals and relationships. This role is crucial as the company scales, sitting at the intersection of Talent Acquisition and People Operations. It focuses on recruiting coordination and sourcing, with additional generalist People Operations responsibilities. The position partners with hiring managers, the Head of People, and recruiters to ensure a high-quality candidate and employee experience and to build scalable people processes. Recruiting is the core function, expected to comprise 50-75% of the role.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, talent sourcing, HR, or a related People Operations role.
  • Comfortable using AI tools in your day-to-day work and genuinely curious about how to apply them to improve systems and processes — not just familiar with AI, but actively uses it.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — you keep things moving and nothing falls through the cracks.
  • A people-first mindset with genuine enthusiasm for candidate and employee experience.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where priorities can shift.
  • Experience with an ATS (we use Ashby) and general comfort with HR and productivity tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A natural culture carrier — someone who lives the values, not just talks about them.
  • Collaborative by default and proactive about identifying problems before they become issues.

Responsibilities

  • Support a team of 2 recruiters in the full recruiting lifecycle.
  • Manage end-to-end hiring for assigned requisitions, including coordination, scheduling, and candidate communication.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates, delivering a thoughtful, responsive, and consistent experience.
  • Ensure a consistent and engaging candidate experience across all touchpoints.
  • Conduct initial candidate outreach and sourcing across multiple channels to build diverse, high-quality pipelines.
  • Review resumes and applications to identify strong matches aligned with role requirements and company values.
  • Collaborate with the People team to develop and own employer branding initiatives.
  • Own day-to-day management of the ATS, Ashby, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and up-to-date documentation.
  • Leverage AI tools to improve recruiting and People Ops workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and find smarter ways to get things done.
  • Help craft, edit, and post job descriptions across relevant platforms.
  • Plan and execute culture programs and events, including company offsites, team events, and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Support internal communications that keep employees informed, connected, and engaged.
  • Help design and deliver an onboarding experience that sets the right cultural tone from day one and helps new hires feel welcomed and set up for success.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth and consistent employee experience.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including cycle coordination and documentation.
  • Help coordinate learning and development programs and logistics.
  • Partner with the Head of People on People Operations projects and initiatives as the company scales.
