About The Position

Nova Credit is seeking a sharp, fast, and energized Sr Coordinator, Recruiting & People (IC2) to manage the operational aspects of their recruiting pipeline. This high-agency role reports to the Director of People & Talent and involves owning work, proactively identifying needs, and shaping the experience for candidates and new hires. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at keeping processes on track. This is a hybrid role based in the New York City Metropolitan area, requiring 3 days per week in the office (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays). The role involves significant interaction with the NYC office and new hires, acting as the initial point of contact and setting a positive tone for their experience as a "Novan".

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience in a recruiting coordination, people operations, HR, or administrative support role.
  • Hands-on experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ideally Greenhouse, and comfort learning new tools quickly.
  • Ability to work with time pressure and turn things around quickly without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Comfort making quick judgment calls, course-correcting as needed, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Natural curiosity about how things work, ability to spot inefficiencies, and proactivity in building or suggesting improvements.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards for data integrity and follow-through.
  • Reliable handling of sensitive information, including payroll and people ops data.
  • Direct communication style: warm with candidates, crisp with hiring managers, and confident in pushing back when necessary.
  • Ability to set professional boundaries when requests fall outside of scope.
  • Collaborative mindset, thriving on supporting a team and taking ownership of contributions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Nova Recruiters to learn recruiting workflows, Greenhouse ATS, posted jobs, and hiring managers.
  • Own scheduling and rescheduling across multiple concurrent active searches with accuracy and minimal oversight.
  • Review inbound applicants for high-volume roles.
  • Act as the face of the NYC office for new hires, greeting them on day one, distributing keycards, giving office tours, and setting the tone for their experience.
  • Maintain Greenhouse ATS cleanliness and currency with stage updates, dispositions, and data integrity.
  • Independently solve increasingly complex recruiting challenges, knowing when to escalate and when to drive decisions autonomously.
  • Implement meaningful process improvements to enhance team efficiency or quality.
  • Build a reputation with hiring managers and teammates for clarity, promptness, and dependability.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding logistics.
  • Provide reliable and discreet payroll and people ops admin support.
  • Learn Nova Credit's business model, product suite, competitive landscape, and unique value proposition.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders beyond the People & Talent team to understand company culture, values, and what makes exceptional Novans.
  • Drive process improvements and contribute to recruiting team initiatives that enhance hiring efficiency, candidate experience, new hire experience, data hygiene, or other People Team initiatives.
  • Advise on coordination best practices and contribute to shaping Nova Credit's recruiting culture and standards.
  • Embody Nova Credit's values in daily interactions with teammates, candidates, and new hires.
