About The Position

The Human Resources Recruiting Assistant is a full-time (40 hours/week) hourly role at $23/hour. This role is vital to the St. Louis Arc family of individuals, empowering people to live their best life. The organization is a non-profit that provides support and services to over 4,500 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities each year. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in related field strongly preferred
  • One year of Human Resources experience preferred
  • One year of clerical/administrative office experience, utilizing multiple software systems
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems and ability to input and compile data
  • Ability to learn, interpret and apply Human Resources policies, procedures, basic State and Federal Employment laws and regulatory guidelines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff at all levels in the agency
  • Discretion and personal accountability

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the St. Louis Arc’s Core Values of Respect, Collaboration and Empowerment
  • Review UKG job postings daily and ensure qualified applicants are contacted promptly
  • Screen applications to identify candidates who meet position requirements
  • Complete prescreening calls using structured questions designed to assess potential matches to job openings
  • Ensure applicants have a positive first impression of the St. Louis Arc with friendly, compassionate, enthusiastic communication (verbal and in writing)
  • Assist in onboarding new employees by distributing new hire request forms and making sure that hiring managers and departments are prepared to welcome new staff with needed resources
  • Enter information regarding pending new hires into Onboarding System (Workbright)
  • Prepare information cards and welcome gifts for New Employee Orientation
  • Conduct follow-up calls and surveys with new employees as part of the St. Louis Arc’s retention program
  • Provide administrative support to the Recruiting Team as needed
  • Demonstrate and support all St. Louis Arc Diversity and Inclusion practices/initiatives
