About The Position

Robertson Heating Supply is a family-owned HVAC and plumbing wholesale distributor that has been serving customers since 1934. With 41 locations throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, and West Virginia, we continue to grow while maintaining the family-owned culture and personal approach that have been part of our company for more than 92 years. We are looking for an experienced, motivated Full-Time Recruiter to join our Human Resources team at our Corporate Office in Alliance, Ohio. This position will be responsible for managing recruiting and hiring activities across the company, supporting our 41 locations in five states. The ideal candidate will have solid recruiting experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple open positions and hiring priorities at the same time. Previous HR Generalist experience is a strong plus.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of recruiting experience preferred
  • Previous HR Generalist or broader Human Resources experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing multiple open positions simultaneously
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional judgment and ability to handle confidential information
  • Comfortable communicating and working with managers at multiple locations
  • Working knowledge of employment practices and hiring compliance preferred
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, online job boards, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of the HR team

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the full recruiting process for positions throughout the company
  • Create and post job advertisements using appropriate recruiting platforms
  • Review applications and resumes and identify qualified candidates
  • Conduct phone screens and interviews
  • Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews with Branch Managers and other hiring managers
  • Maintain regular communication with managers regarding open positions and candidate status
  • Conduct reference checks and coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, driving record checks, and other position-specific screenings
  • Follow up on employment offers and communicate next steps to candidates
  • Coordinate electronic onboarding for new hires
  • Maintain accurate applicant and recruiting records
  • Assist with recruiting initiatives, job fairs, and other methods of attracting qualified candidates
  • Provide additional HR support as needed
