About The Position

ASR International is seeking a motivated and results-driven Recruiter to join our corporate team in Hauppauge, New York. This position plays a critical role in supporting the company's continued growth by identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for federal government contracts and corporate operations nationwide. The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting for professional, technical, engineering, program management, and government contracting positions. This role requires a high-energy recruiter who can manage multiple requisitions simultaneously while delivering an exceptional candidate experience. ASR maintains an active, continual recruiting strategy to support our federal customers and ensure rapid staffing of contract requirements, surge needs, and growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience sourcing and recruiting professional candidates.
  • Strong interviewing, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting for federal government contractors.
  • Knowledge of federal labor categories, security clearances, and contract staffing requirements.
  • Experience with JazzHR or similar ATS platforms.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other sourcing tools.
  • Experience recruiting engineers, project managers, inspectors, analysts, IT professionals, or administrative support personnel.
  • Understanding of federal acquisition and contract staffing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from requisition approval through onboarding.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, industry associations, and direct outreach.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate interviews.
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers, program managers, and executive leadership.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines for future federal contract opportunities.
  • Prepare job postings and ensure positions are advertised across appropriate recruiting channels.
  • Track candidate activity and maintain accurate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Communicate regularly with candidates regarding application status and next steps.
  • Support proposal staffing activities by identifying and recruiting qualified personnel for upcoming contract pursuits.
  • Conduct reference checks, employment verifications, and salary discussions.
  • Partner with program managers to understand labor category requirements, clearance needs, and contract-specific qualifications.
  • Assist with onboarding activities and new-hire documentation.
  • Attend career fairs, networking events, and recruiting conferences as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal employment regulations and company hiring policies.
