About The Position

The Office of the Provost is currently hiring a Recruiter/ Talent Acquisition specialist to join the department. The provost, the university’s Chief Academic Officer, is responsible for leading the team that develops and implements the University's academic vision. The provost provides general oversight of academic affairs, including education, faculty, and student life. The provost has primary responsibility for all aspects of the University of Pittsburgh’s academic mission. The Office of the Provost is comprised of a variety of departments, including Undergraduate Studies, Graduate Studies, the Center for Excellence in Digital Education (EDGE), Student Success—and more. Supporting the Business & Operations team, the Recruiter/ Talent Acquisition Specialist will be involved in all aspects of the recruitment process from start to finish. This includes working closely with hiring leadership to assess priorities and talent acquisition needs, developing recruitment plans, reviewing applications, conducting candidate interviews, and creating structured competency-based interview plans.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree.
  • 2-3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge of the legal and compliance issues related to the hiring process is essential.
  • Strong customer service skills.
