About The Position

As a Skilled Trades Recruiter, you will play a key role in helping Cimarron attract and hire the skilled talent that drives our success. This position focuses on building local talent pipelines, developing community relationships, and creating proactive recruiting strategies that ensure we have access to top manufacturing talent before hiring needs arise. More than a traditional recruiter, you'll serve as a talent ambassador in the Oklahoma manufacturing community, building partnerships with trade schools, workforce development organizations, veteran groups, and technical programs while engaging welders, assemblers, machinists, technicians, painters, and other skilled trades professionals. The ideal candidate is relationship driven, enjoys being out in the community, and is passionate about connecting great people with meaningful career opportunities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or skilled trades environments.
  • Experience recruiting positions such as welders, assemblers, technicians, machinists, or similar roles.
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to engage both shop floor employees and business leaders.
  • Self motivated with a proactive approach to talent acquisition.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, oil & gas, fabrication, or industrial environments.
  • Existing relationships within the Oklahoma area skilled labor market.
  • Experience working with trade schools, apprenticeship programs, or workforce development organizations.
  • ATS experience (Paycom preferred).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for key manufacturing and skilled trades positions, including Welders, Assemblers, Fabricators, Production Technicians, Painters, and Quality personnel.
  • Develop long term recruiting strategies to ensure a continuous flow of qualified manufacturing candidates.
  • Create and maintain talent communities for future hiring needs.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify emerging talent sources and workforce trends.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local trade schools, technical colleges, workforce development organizations, and apprenticeship programs.
  • Attend hiring events, career fairs, industry association meetings, and community networking events.
  • Build partnerships with veteran organizations, military transition programs, and skilled trade associations.
  • Create and execute outreach strategies that strengthen Cimarron's employment brand.
  • Source, screen, interview, and assess manufacturing and skilled trade candidates.
  • Conduct regular outreach to passive candidates and maintain relationships with prospective talent.
  • Coordinate interviews and manage candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Provide recruiting metrics, pipeline reporting, and labor market insights.
  • Recommend innovative sourcing and recruiting approaches to improve hiring outcomes.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives and succession planning efforts.
