About The Position

The Recruiter Master Trainer (RMT) plays a critical role in the development, coaching, and mentoring of Recruiting and Retention Non-Commissioned Officers (RRNCOs) within the Army National Guard. Serving as a subject matter expert in recruiting processes and techniques, the RMT is responsible for assessing individual and team performance, developing and delivering structured training programs, and fostering continuous professional growth to enhance recruiting and retention success. This position requires dynamic leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching and guiding others in a fast-paced, result-driven environment. Please note that this position is advertised in both Delaware and District of Columbia (Washington DC) to ensure visibility; however, both the Delaware and District of Columbia (Washington DC) postings refer to the same role. Requirements

  • Effective interpersonal communication across diverse teams
  • Teaching and facilitation expertise
  • Training objective design and assessment
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Curriculum and instructional design
  • Preparation of instructional aids and materials
  • Five years of successful military recruiting experience (or have obtained a Master Badge if prior ARNG or Army recruiter (or equivalent from another branch of service))
  • Preferably served in a leadership position with any Recruiting Command (any branch of service) as at least a Team Leader, or equivalent (typically a senior E6 or E7)
  • Clear verbal communication
  • Frequent travel by car, plane, or other means
  • Physical presence at events and assigned locations is required
  • NACLC and POSTA Screening Required
  • Must complete 48 hours of in-person training per month
  • Valid state issued Driver’s License and automobile insurance required

Nice To Haves

  • A college degree is preferred but not required for RMTs
  • Previous experience as an ARNG RR 1SG or NCOIC
  • Prior experience as an RRBN Master Trainer
  • Background in RRBN Operations or as a MEPS Guidance Counselor
