About The Position
St. Louis County Parks and Recreation Department strives to provide high quality parks, facilities, and recreation services that enhance residents' lives through responsible and effective management of resources. Currently, we are seeking a Recreation Supervisor to work at the Kennedy Recreation Complex to help achieve these goals. The typical starting salary is $45,822.40 - $53,639.04 yearly. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation or a related field, including work experience involving recreation activities and program development; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop, promote, manage and adapt recreation programs to meet needs of individual agencies or institutions.
- Secure funding sources in addition to the Department of Parks & Recreation’s budget.
- Interpret recreation services to the public and participate in community meetings and organizational planning.
- Process registrations and reservations and monetary transactions and answer questions for programs, events and facilities.
- Perform first aid on program participants and facility users as necessary.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
