About The Position

This position is responsible for the inmate recreation program at a major correctional center. Key duties include developing, coordinating, and delivering various programs for inmates, as well as providing direct supervision during recreation periods. The role also involves managing recreation facilities and equipment, and facilitating community interaction and scheduling activities for inmates.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of major sports skills, rules, and regulations for proper participation in these activities
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organize recreational program of athletics, arts and crafts, library program, and other leisure time activities for adults
• Skill in Microsoft Office
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing

Nice To Haves

• Experience providing recreational activities and supervising a recreational program
• Experience in a Correctional or Law Enforcement environment
