About The Position

Oak Grove Technologies, LLC is seeking a Recreation Specialist to support operations at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Artesia, New Mexico. The role develops and implements recreational programs and activities intended to enhance community members’ well-being and quality of life, while promoting a positive and inclusive environment. The position pays a base hourly rate of $26.72, plus an additional Health & Welfare (H&W) benefit in accordance with applicable Service Contract Act requirements. Requirements

Two years of experience in Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field.
Current Red Cross certifications in both first aid and CPR.
Knowledge of rules and regulations covering a variety of recreational sports.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and risk management practices in recreational settings.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and implement recreational programs for diverse age groups.
Develop engaging activities aligned with community interests and needs.
Build positive relationships with community members and stakeholders.
Collaborate with local organizations and businesses to enhance program offerings.
Coordinate and oversee special events, tournaments, and recreational outings.
Manage event logistics, including scheduling, permits, and equipment.
Ensure programs are inclusive and accessible to people of all abilities.
Adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of the community.
Collect and analyze data on program participation and effectiveness.
Prepare regular management reports identifying areas for improvement and program successes.
