Recreation Site Supervisor
About The Position
American Fork City is seeking a Seasonal Recreation Site Supervisor to lead a dynamic team in recreational youth sports. This onsite position involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring staff complete outlined procedures before, during, and after games, and preparing playing areas to meet safety standards. The role requires actively listening to concerns from participants and parents, addressing problems, and correcting inappropriate behavior to create a supportive and enjoyable experience for young athletes. The goal is to foster integrity, longevity, respect, and sportsmanship within the community's youth sports programs.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience.
- General understanding of the rules for basketball, soccer, flag football, baseball, and softball.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with various software tools related to scheduling and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing, guiding, and evaluating recreational youth sports programs.
- Ensuring all outlined procedures are fully completed by staff before, during, and after each game.
- Preparing playing areas to meet safety standards.
- Actively listening to concerns from participants and parents.
