About The Position

The Township is seeking enthusiastic and dynamic Recreation Program Instructor to join our team at the brand-new Simcoe Woods Community Centre. In this front-line role, you’ll lead a variety of recreational activities for participants of all ages including children, youth, adults, and seniors. Programming may include before and after school programming, day camp, sports, crafts, drop-in gym sessions, and social activities that promote engagement, connection, and healthy lifestyles for all generations. The Township of Oro-Medonte is seeking to recruit casual, non-union staff to support the delivery of Recreation programs. Work hours will be scheduled based on program requirements, with availability/scheduling ranging from approximately 2 to 24 hours per week. Scheduling and hours of work will vary and are subject to change, with regular re-evaluation on a seasonal basis in alignment with Recreation program offerings and participation levels.

Requirements

CPR and First Aid certification
Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Excellent communication skills

Prior experience in recreation or sport programming
