The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a Recreation Program Coordinator for our Parks and Recreation Department. This position will be based at the Shearwater Community Center & Park. Until the facility opens, this role will serve in a floating capacity, supporting recreation programming across multiple parks and facilities throughout the County. St. Johns County Parks and Recreation provides safe, fun, and healthy opportunities for residents and visitors through a diverse system of parks, community centers, and recreational programs. The Recreation Program Coordinator will assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of community recreation programming, including afterschool programs, summer camps, special events, and youth and family activities. This position will work collaboratively with staff across multiple sites to ensure consistent, high-quality programming and strong community engagement. This position requires a flexible schedule, including regular evening and weekend hours, and is ideal for candidates who thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy working with youth and families, and can effectively manage multiple programs and events. This role will work closely with staff at both locations to ensure consistent, high-quality programming and meaningful community engagement, particularly in rural and growing areas of the County. This position requires a flexible schedule, including regular evening and weekend hours, and is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with youth and families while managing multiple programs and events in a community-focused environment.
