Recreation Operations Assistant I - (Golf Clubhouse Attendant)
About The Position
The Recreation Operations Assistant (Golf Clubhouse Attendant) assists the Operations Manager in maintaining membership and facilities and generating revenue. The role works under the Operations Manager’s supervision, supporting both long- and short-term operating objectives. The attendant assists customers with daily operations, reservations, and course-level needs; addresses questions and concerns according to established policies; and supports membership and customer retention. The role also helps ensure facility standards, safety and security procedures, and service quality are maintained, and participates in staff meetings and management initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of golf and golf tournament operations.
- Valid State of Georgia driver’s license.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of pro shop practices, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, ordinances, policies, standards, and regulations related to the duties.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of customer service experience or experience in a related operational role.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with daily facility operations and course-level needs.
- Make reservations and answer customer questions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Handle member and guest concerns promptly to help maintain and grow the membership and customer base.
- Maintain open communication and visibility with members and guests.
- Work with the Operations Manager and department heads to ensure compliance with facility standards.
- Follow safety guidelines, transaction-handling procedures, and security policies.
- Follow established work methods, schedules, and performance standards.
- Implement and support management initiatives and programs.
- Attend staff meetings as needed.
- Meet with the Operations Manager to discuss clubhouse procedures and improvements.
