About The Position

A large, innovative Homeowners Association (HOA) in Williamsburg, Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Technician. This role involves a comprehensive scope of responsibilities including general electrical work, carpentry, plumbing, and grounds maintenance across the property. The technician will also be responsible for general cleaning, setup, and breakdown for activities at community recreation centers, as well as general maintenance tasks at the HOA office. Additional duties include tracking and scheduling repairs for company vehicles, and seasonal maintenance and cleaning of five swimming pools. The position also requires participation in storm preparedness, cleanup, snow removal, and special projects.

Requirements

• Possess general electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and grounds maintenance skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule.
• Must be able to lift, carry and place large and heavy items.
• Must have a good driving record.
• Successfully pass a background and drug screening check.

Responsibilities

• Perform general electrical work including installing light bulbs in streetlights throughout the property, changing photocells, troubleshooting, coordinating with contractors, and marking lights with a Dynatel cable locator.
• Disconnect electrical wiring from mailbox posts and install new mailboxes.
• Assemble, install, and remove for sale signs.
• Install traffic signs, perform painting, pressure washing, general carpentry and grounds maintenance throughout the property.
• Conduct general cleaning, setup, and breakdown for activities at community recreation centers.
• Perform general maintenance tasks at the homeowner's association office.
• Track maintenance and schedule repairs for all company vehicles.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning of five parcel swimming pools as needed from May through September.
• Perform other duties as assigned such as storm preparedness and cleanup, snow removal, and special projects.
