About The Position
The Recreation Leader is an entry-level support class responsible for providing support to recreation staff for the implementation of a wide variety of recreation break camps (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer) and is responsible for general custodial and facility related concerns. Seasonal positions are not eligible for benefits, vacation or holiday pay. Position is temporary, at-will. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high energy, dependability, attentiveness and the ability to multitask.
Requirements
- Any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for a Recreation Leader.
- Possess the equivalent of one year of experience implementing recreation programs or events, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities
- Assists in monitoring and leading recreational activities such as group games, arts and crafts, camp songs, science experiments and other summer activities.
- Help check in/out participants
- Enforce safety policies
- Deliver clear instructions
- Communicate effectively with parents, participants and staff
