About The Position

This part-time position works under the direction of an assigned Community Center Director or Assistant Director. The role involves leading class instruction and various recreational activities, including sports. Responsibilities also include coordinating rental facility functions, providing clerical and custodial support, and ensuring compliance with community center operational guidelines and procedures. The position may require supervising staff and participants, directing facility operations in the absence of management, and transporting participants to recreational activities by driving throughout the City.

Requirements

• High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED); or any combination of experience or training which enables one to perform the essential job functions.
• Experience in recreation education and/or training is required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver license as a condition of continued employment.
• Must attain 'F' Endorsement on Driver's License within 90 days from start of assignment, depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead class instruction and various recreational activities, including sports.
• Coordinate rental facility functions.
• Provide clerical and custodial support as required.
• Comply with community center operational guidelines and procedures.
• Supervise staff and participants as needed.
• Direct facility operations in the absence of management.
• Transport participants to recreational activities by driving to various locations throughout the City.
