About The Position

This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits. This Recreation Leader position will be assisting the supervisory staff of the Community Resource Center or Senior Center (depending on area of assignment) with daily operations. Additionally, the incumbent will be assisting with client registration by answering phone calls, processing registration fees, completing rental contracts, as well as working with building agency partners to assist with maintaining building operations and continuity of services.

Requirements

High School diploma or G.E.D.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
CPR/First Aid/Defibrillator Certification must be obtained within first 3 months of employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid/Defibrillator certification
One year of experience in programming, event planning, customer service, or scheduling experience

Responsibilities

Maintaining records and other documentation regarding daily program activities and operations such as class registrations, attendance records, deposits and financial reports and facility usage
Instructing clients on the fundamentals of the assigned community services program
Assisting in maintaining facility cleanliness and operations as needed
Assisting customers and residents with general questions and concerns regarding recreational or senior programs
Performing all other duties, as assigned
Educating and providing information about classes, programs, services, and rental opportunities to the public at community events, resource and job fairs, and other forums, as needed
