About The Position

Under the direction of the Recreation Specialist, Recreation Leaders will be responsible for the supervision of children (6 – 12 years of age) in the Benicia Parks & Community Services Department. Job duties include planning and scheduling daily activities such as arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, low-key sports activities, and special events. The Recreation Leader position is a mandated reporter position.

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Applicant MUST be available during program hours: Monday through Thursday from 1:15 pm - 6:30 pm and Fridays from 11:00 am - 6:30 pm.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with children preferred.
• Standard First Aid and CPR certifications are required once hired.
