About The Position

The Recreation Lead is responsible for the development, planning, organization, and implementation of recreation programs for Suncadia Resort guests and Suncadia Club members. This role involves professionally managing the daily operations of the Recreation Pavilion and Nelson Farm, including family activities, axe throwing, archery, bike, boat, and other recreation equipment. The Lead will also work directly with contracted vendors to offer full-service outdoor pursuits and participate as a leader in building teamwork, service effectiveness, and the overall character of the resort experience. Requirements

  • 2-3 years’ experience in educational, recreational or related areas which include working with a variety of clientele.
  • Must have knowledge of programming, planning and leadership.
  • Must have minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience in hospitality.
  • Previous guest relations training.
  • Proficiency in word processing/computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Springer Miller).

Nice To Haves

  • Educational background or degree in Hospitality, Recreation Management or a related field.
  • Background or experience in a variety of outdoor recreation related activities and special event planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, organize, and implement recreation programs for Suncadia Resort guests and Suncadia Club members.

  • Offer a warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all colleagues, leaders, vendors and guests of Suncadia Resort including use of name & good eye contact with each.
  • Be alert and courteous at all times.
  • Remain alert and maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all resort amenities, events, hours of operations etc. by daily review of the Yapp App and other communication tools.
  • Upsell Suncadia Resort’s services and amenities to guests.
  • Maintain constant awareness of safety issues (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons) and report all safety incidents to on-duty leader.
  • Communicate any workplace accident/incident to a leader within 24 hours of the event.
  • Follow required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and/or the cleanup of blood, infectious materials, or body fluids containing blood in accordance with the OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards.
  • Immediately report the need for cleanup to department leadership and schedule training for future incidents if not properly trained in the removal of Blood-borne Pathogens.
  • Act with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance by following all Suncadia Resort standards with regard to Dress/Uniform Code, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hygiene, Grooming and names.tag requirement.
