About The Position

This role is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of various recreation facilities including pools, spas, PB/BB Courts, playgrounds, fields, fitness rooms, locker rooms, and bath houses located at Lake Club, Richland Pointe, Preserve, Great Waters, and The Landing. The technician will follow a cleaning and maintenance schedule, care for seasonal equipment like lake toys and bike rentals, and ensure facilities are show-ready for member use. The position also involves assisting with recreation event operations, including setup, teardown, and logistics, and adhering to safety guidelines for equipment and chemical handling. Coordination with the Manager for repairs and reporting of concerns is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements

  • Ability to use various tools and power equipment.
  • Must have current valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to swim and practice water safety.
  • Good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic repair “handy-man” capabilities preferred.
  • Pool Chemical Certification possibility.
  • High School diploma or relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in troubleshooting plumbing and mechanical systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Follow cleaning and maintenance schedule for all facilities.
  • Perform tasks such as straightening chairs and umbrellas, leaf blowing decks, patios, courts, and stairs.
  • Empty trash, use a broom to remove cobwebs, and sweep areas.
  • Pick up towels, toys, clothing and take them to the assigned location.
  • Care for and store lake toys and bike rentals through seasonal use.
  • Ensure potential for pool chemical and cleanliness through proper training and certifications.
  • Ensure LLP location and The Landing recreation facilities are show ready and operational by stated seasonal times.
  • Assist and participate in the program operations of recreation events through event management set up, tear down and logistics.
  • Follow established safety rules and guidelines for handling equipment, chemical and tools.
  • Coordinate daily work schedule and report back to Manager for additional areas of concern.
  • Ensure all operating areas are “show ready” each and every work day or prepared the night before.
