The County of Riverside’s Human Resources Temporary Assignment Program (TAP) is hiring a Temporary Recreation Coordinator to support the Regional Park and Open-Space District at Crestmore Manor in Jurupa Valley, California. Crestmore Manor is a historic mansion and event venue that can accommodate up to 300 guests. The coordinator gives tours, schedules events, manages contracts, assists with event setup and teardown, provides event support, performs clerical tasks, and supervises a small team. The role requires strong customer service, time management, troubleshooting, and organizational skills. Experience with event scheduling and organization and proficiency with Microsoft Office are important; supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred. Prior experience with community events and recreational activities is also identified as ideal. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with work required every other Saturday. When a Saturday is worked, the following Monday will typically be off, subject to business needs. Hours may vary with scheduled events and may include evenings and holidays. Weekend shifts may be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. The position involves travel to gather event materials. This is a temporary, at-will TAP assignment. TAP assignments provide an opportunity to learn about working for the County. A California Class C driver’s license and proof of insurance are required. A First-Aid Certificate must be obtained within six months of employment. Essential duties can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
