We’re seeking qualified Recreation Instructors to perform meaningful work, connecting our communities through programming and exceptional learning experiences. Recreation Instructors teach arts and crafts, music, dance, cooking, sports, camps, wellness, STEM, and other recreation programming. Successful candidates will exemplify effective communication and planning skills. The Ashburn Recreation & Community Center is also seeking dedicated and qualified Recreation Instructors to oversee programs in our newly established state-of-the-art sensory room, designed to assist individuals with disabilities. In this position, instructors will conduct interactive activities, foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere, and ensure the appropriate utilization of sensory equipment. Ideal candidates will exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills and contribute positively to our community. PRCS serves a diverse population of youth, adults, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.

Requirements

• Completion of 8th grade
• Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and 30 pounds frequently.
• Must undergo a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Six (6) months of experience teaching subject matter classes
• Bilingual
• CPR/First Aid certification

Responsibilities
