About The Position

Help Create Memorable Experiences on Mackinac Island At Mission Point Resort, every exceptional guest interaction—from helping guests enjoy our outdoor activities to provide friendly guidance—shapes the unforgettable experiences we are known for. As Mackinac Island’s only full-service, casually elegant resort, we are seeking an enthusiastic and service-driven Recreation Attendant to join our Guest Services team and ensure guests enjoy safe, fun, and memorable recreational experiences. The Recreation Attendant plays a key role in delivering safe, enjoyable, and engaging activities for our guests. This hands-on position includes managing recreational equipment, assisting with activity setup, instructing guests, and ensuring that all recreational areas and programs meet resort standards. This position is ideal for a guest-focused professional who enjoys active work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering memorable experiences through recreation.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and be active for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform outdoor or recreational activities
• Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island during the operating season
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Comfortable interacting with guests of all ages and backgrounds
• Friendly, energetic, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional service
• Ability to handle guest questions and concerns with patience, empathy, and professionalism

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospitality, resort, recreation, or guest service experience preferred but not required
