Part-Time Summer Recreation Attendant
About The Position
Penn State Altoona is accepting applications from students to work part-time as a Recreation Attendant at the Adler Athletic Complex. Job Duties include distribution and inventory of equipment, general cleaning and maintenance, and maintaining safety and cleanliness in the weight room and fitness loft areas. This role also involves set up and operations for recreational and intramural events. Individuals will be expected to read, follow, and enforce rules and guidelines found in the Adler Athletic Complex Student Employee Handbook. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented, attentive to safety details, and act in a professional manner.
Requirements
- Ability to lift/push/carry weight equipment; with or without accommodations
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Available to work evenings and weekends
- May require the ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
