Part-Time Summer Recreation Attendant
About The Position
Penn State Altoona is accepting applications from students to work part-time as a Recreation Attendant at the Adler Athletic Complex. This role involves distributing and inventorying equipment, general cleaning and maintenance, and maintaining safety and cleanliness in the weight room and fitness loft areas. The attendant will also assist with recreational and intramural events, including set-up and operations. Key responsibilities include reading, following, and enforcing rules and guidelines from the Adler Athletic Complex Student Employee Handbook. Individuals in this position should be customer service oriented, attentive to safety details, and act in a professional manner.
Requirements
- Ability to lift/push/carry weight equipment; with or without accommodations
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Available to work evenings and weekends
- May require the ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
