About The Position

Interact with guests in an engaging and friendly attitude and promote the Resort’s recreation activities and facilities to guests. This role involves promoting teamwork and quality service, processing transactions, administering and monitoring recreation activities, and ensuring adequate supplies of recreation or safety equipment and first aid items. The position also includes leading and participating in pool and other recreational activities, maintaining a clean and organized recreation area, responding to emergencies, and acting as a lifeguard, rendering first aid or CPR as needed. Responsibilities also include cleaning designated areas and equipment, inspecting for hazards, monitoring cleanliness of swimming pools and surrounding areas, and assisting with other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year experience as Recreation Attendant/Lifeguard.
  • Must be able to work Guam USA, without US work visa, looking for candidates who are US citizens, US Permanent Residents and Residents of Federated States of Micronesia.
  • First Aid & CPR Certified required or must be able to obtain it.
  • Lifeguard Certification required or must be able to obtain it.
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills.
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Standing up, walking and moving about the facilities
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling
  • Handling recreation and safety equipment
  • Administer first aid or CPR
  • Fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading and writing)

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-lingual preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Promote teamwork and quality service through regular communication and coordination with managers, team members, and other departments.
  • Process payments or other transactions (such as issuing bands or cards) with guests for recreation activities or facility use.
  • Administer and monitor recreation activities and create or present reports as requested.
  • Monitor and ensure adequate supplies of recreation or safety equipment and first aid items.
  • Lead and participate in pool and other recreational activities.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and organized recreation area.
  • Respond calmly and react quickly to emergencies.
  • Act as a lifeguard and render first aid or CPR as needed.
  • Clean designated areas and equipment and inspect accordingly for any hazards.
  • Monitor cleanliness of swimming pools and surrounding areas.
  • May assist with other duties as required.
